Judge Gorczynski’s staff has been shown to be among the most efficient in Harris County by the National Center
for State Courts. He
has reduced the size of his court’s staff while increasing efficiency and customer service. The Judge
leads as an innovator in the use of technology for Justice of the Peace courts in Harris County and in the collection of past
due fines.
Judge Gorczynski handles the most truancy cases for the Houston
and Aldine school districts.
He places great importance on keeping kids in school, stressing to parents and students the value of education to a
child’s future. He is an innovator in juvenile and anti-truancy programs, including the Stay In-School
Program—a comprehensive approach to juveniles school attendance problems.
Judge Gorczynski has
been recognized for his work on animal cruelty. He disposed of more animal cruelty cases last year than any other JP in Harris County.
His work on cases brought to his court by the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has been featured
on the Animal Planet channel. Judge Gorczynski makes a regular guest appearance on the show, “Animal
Cops: Houston.”
